Since I'm on break, I finally have a decent amount of time to dust up on some ol' kanji characters.
Now, keep in mind that learning the Japanese language is like working out a muscle, the more you do it, the more strength you build, and the more it sticks into your head. I have not done it in a while and I've come to a point where my mind would go blank on remembering simple hiragana characters! I was very ashamed of myself, more disappointed actually. So this break I've decided to make a little promise to myself that I would study Japanese at least, AT LEAST two hours a day.
One great tool I use is smart.fm where they have numerous lists of hiragana, katakana, and kanji characters. I was introduced to this website through danny choo, one of my greatest influences to keep studying Japanese and to seek out my passion for living. (You can also find the link to his site under my links tab) I'm hoping I can keep my own promise.
If your interested in learning Japanese, then I highly suggest you listen to Japanese music, make flashcards, watch Japanese movies, pretty much anything that involves someone speaking Japanese, writing Japanese, hearing Japanese and so on. And most importantly, persistence and your passion/desire to learn will be the key to success. With that said, good luck to everyone who decides to learn.
